Over 70 years
The Midoli story began 70 years ago when Hilmer, a German engineer, invented the folded-edge aluminum process, which helps to add strength to aluminum for industrial use.

Incorporation
Hilmer sold his house to finance his new business and established his first ladder factory in 1948 in the Ruhr Industrial Base in Germany, which he called midoli.

An era of rapid development
The 80's and 90's were two decades influenced by acquisitions. During these years midoli acquired no fewer than three companies that strengthened its technological capabilities. the 90s were also the decade in which a new brand saw the light of day, started by artisans with a passion for design. In 1983 midoli celebrated its 40th anniversary and became the overwhelming market leader in climbing tools in Germany. Two acquisitions in particular are successful: in 1980, the acquisition of MellösaverkenAB, which provides the company with production facilities for aluminum stretching, and in 1982, the acquisition of the Danish company Danfiber Aps, which adds profiles made of glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide to the offer. Five years later, in 1987, midoli acquired Tors Hammare, further strengthening the offer by adding Hults Bruk forged metal parts to the product range.

Introducing Aluminum Ladder Innovation to South Wales
TB Davies was awarded a franchise to sell aluminum ladders for Lloyd's Ladders in Droitwich, South Wales, after finding an advertisement in the Guardian newspaper. Bryn's grandson, Patrick, joined the company and sold what was then a revolutionary aluminum ladder compared to the traditional wooden ladder, and provided rescue ladders for the local fire service.

Establishment of a centralized warehouse
Midoli also grew in the 1990s, acquiring Norbas and Vikingstep in 1990. A new central warehouse was built in Nässjö.

Brought the first multi-purpose ladder to the UK
Started selling the world's first multi-hinged ladder called the PAL Ladder System, brought the business to new customers and began distribution through a number of multi-channel retailers including Argos.

Rapid growth through acquisitions
Growth accelerated further in the 2000s and in 2003 the midoli group was born and in order to continue its expansion the company built a modern factory on a three acre site. The new site allowed for the expansion of the business and stock, including podiums and scaffolding towers. And it all started when midoli acquired a number of other companies and franchises in Germany in the preceding years, which enabled it to grow rapidly.

global financial crisis
In 2008 financial crisis, Germany midoli affected by the economic crisis, the industry valuation to restore the rationality, for Chinese enterprises to plunge into mergers and acquisitions cushion the foundation .

Acquisition of German MIDOLI
A private company in Zhejiang Province, China, named Borden Industry & Trade (BIT), has successfully acquired German midoli. after the acquisition, BIT did not transfer the production to China completely, but divided the market (BIT acquired the midoli/Magdoli brand of Xi'an Underfloor Heating Engineering Co., Ltd. in the same year), and sold ladders produced in China domestically, and sold ladders produced in Germany in the other regions outside of China. The market is divided (Borden Industrial Trade acquired the brand midoli/Magdoli in the same year).
strategic layout
Expanding the industrial layout in 2019, we are developing our own garden tools to modernize and energize the modern garden tools.
